Russian state oil champion OAO Rosneft (ROSN.RS) plans to produce over 40 billion cubic meters of natural gas a year in Russia in a new joint venture with independent gas producer Itera Holding, the company said Tuesday.

Rosneft said in a statement. The deal envisions the creation of a joint
venture.
"In the coming years, the joint company may produce and market over 40
billion cubic meters of natural gas a year," Rosneft said.
