Speaking to Dow Jones Newswires after exiting a meeting with Turkish Energy
Minister Taner Yildaz,
Libya
's
Abdulrahman Benyezza said: "We are open on the market. We will provide oil
where there is an opportunity."
The meeting took place on the side of an international energy summit.
Turkey
's
national oil company, Tupras, said last month it had cut its purchases of oil
from
Iran
by
20% as Western nations tighten sanctions against
Tehran
over
its nuclear program.
Separately,
Awad Albarasi
,
Libya
's
energy minister, said the North African nation is considering inviting Turkish
investors to invest in its electricity sector.
He said, however, that for now, there are no dispositions to allow public-
private investment in
Libya
's
power sector.
