National Iranian Gas Co. has finished constructing nearly 75% of a pipeline that will deliver natural gas from the Iran's South Pars field to the Pakistan border, a senior company executive said Tuesday.

The pipeline was originally conceived to ship Iranian gas to
India
through
Pakistan
but
New
Delhi
pulled out of the project.
About 700 kilometers of the pipeline has been completed and the company will
lay another 300km to Pakistan by 2014, M. Sheikh Bahaie, director of gas
distribution and a member of NIGC's board, said on the sidelines of a
conference.
The pipeline starts from South Pars fields 59-60 and has a capacity of 110
million cubic meters a day, he said.
