Hydropower output fell 21% on the year to 11.3 billion kilowatts hour, while
nuclear energy production was down 2.4% to 10.5 billion KWh, the statistics
institute INS said.
Thermal power production inched 0.8% higher to 30 billion KWh in January
through November 2012, while wind farm production more than doubled to 2.2
billion KWh, from 1 billion KWh in the same period of 2011.
Romania's primary energy resources fell 2.7% on the year to 31.1 million tons
of oil equivalent in the first eleven months, while electric energy resources
were down 2.9% to 54.9 billion KWh, the data showed.
Final power consumption reached 48.3 billion KWh in January through November,
up 0.4% from the same period of 2011. Public illumination rose 5.5% on the
year, while household consumption was up 1.9%.
