will sign an intergovernmental
agreement on the construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) on 13
February this year in
Athens
.
This was announced
on Saturday by Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos after a meeting
with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on the sidelines of the
Munich Security Conference.
It is planned to transport namely Azerbaijani gas to
Western Europe
via TAP.
The estimated capacity of the pipeline will be from 10 to 20bn cubic meters a
year.
The negotiations on the details of the agreement between
Greece
,
Italy
and
Albania
are still pending, the Athens News
Agency reported, citing the Greek Foreign Ministry.
The signing ceremony is expected to involve also a representative of the
Azerbaijani government.
