Iraq 's crude oil exports in February rose by 7.5%, to 2.536 million barrels a day on month, compared with 2.359 million barrels a day in January, according to people familiar with the State Oil Marketing Organization, or SOMO.

Iraq exported 2.194 million barrels a day from southern oil fields in February via exports terminals in the Gulf, compared with 2.095 million barrels a day the previous month, the people told Dow Jones.

Some 327,000 barrels a day were exported from northern oil fields to the Mediterranean
port of Ceyhan in Turkey , compared with 253,000 barrels a day the previous month. Another 15,000 barrels a day were shipped by truck to Jordan , compared with 11,000 barrels a day in January.

Bad weather at southern export terminals and an explosion at an export pipeline in the north had slowed
Iraq 's January crude oil exports, the people said.
