coal exports totaled 530,000 metric tons in February, down 57% from a year
earlier, according to preliminary data issued Friday by the General
Administration of Customs.
In the January-February period,
China
's
coal exports totaled 1.27 million tons, down 43% from a year earlier, according
to the data.
The country imported 53.85 million tons of coal in the first two months of this
year, up 34.3% from a year earlier, it said.
The data
didn't specify February import volumes for coal.
