OAO Novatek (NVTK.RS), Russia's second largest natural-gas producer, will increase gas supplies to the Russian arm of Germany's E.On SE (EONGY) in a 14-year deal worth 284 billion rubles ($8.5 billion), E.On Russia said on its website Wednesday.

Novatek, which last August agreed a $22-billion deal to supply gas to E.On
Russia
from
2014 to 2027, has snapped up domestic supply contracts at the expense of
state-controlled gas firm OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS).
The additional volumes from the new deal will be delivered to E.On
Russia
's
Surgut
power
plant in
Siberia
.
