In relation to the appraisal well drilling in Cyprus' Block 12 by the operating company Noble Energy International Ltd, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Tourism announces that the production test (DST) has started successfully and the produced natural gas from the Aphrodite field is being flared.
The production test is scheduled to last for approximately five days. The ENSCO 5006 drilling rig will then proceed to the well plugging operations and depart from the area.The preliminary results of the appraisal well drilling are expected to be announced as soon as possible, towards the end of September 2013.
