Kazakhstan's state-run oil and gas company KazMunaiGas is planning to hold an initial public offering in the next one to two years, Kazakhstan's National Bank head Kairat Kelimbetov said Friday, according to Interfax news agency.

"We expect that KazMunaiGas will hold a global IPO in the next year or
two," Mr. Kelimbetov is quoted as saying, adding that the company is
planning to list its shares on a local stock exchange.
KazMunaiGas is taking part in several projects with major energy companies
locally.
