France's ambassador to Sofia said oil and gas company Total, in partnership with
companies from Austria and Spain, will invest some 250 million euro ($340
million) in gas exploration works offshore Bulgaria, local media reported on
Thursday.
The explorations works will start in January, news portal
dnevnik.bg quoted Ambassador Xavier Lapeyre de Cabanes as saying.
In June
Total, together with Austria’s OMV and Spain’s Repsol, started a 3D seismic
acquisition campaign in Bulgaria’s 1-21 Han-Asparuh offshore exploration block
after completing the procurement phase for the offshore exploration seismic
activities.
