Croatia opened on Monday a data room for companies interested in its upcoming
offshore oil and gas exploration tenders, the country's economy ministry
said.
Last month, economy minister Ivan Vrdoljak said the tenders were
planned to be launched in April.
The data room contains existing seismic
data on Croatia's portion of the Adriatic Sea as well as long-offset data
acquired recently by Norwegian seismic imaging services provider Spectrum Geo,
the economy ministry said in a statement.
Croatia has defined 29 blocks
for oil and gas exploration in the Adriatic sea, ranging in size from 1,000 to
1,600 square kilometres.
