German wind turbine maker Nordex SE said on Wednesday it has received three
orders to supply Turkish energy firms Sancak Enerji, Yeni Enerji and Bicakcilar
Enerji with a total of 44.4 megawatts (MW) of wind turbines for their first wind
projects.
Nordex said in a statement that it will supply six wind
turbines for Sancak Enerji’s Urla wind farm in the western Turkish province of
Izmir, nine turbines for Yeni Enerji’s Yenihisar wind farm in the same province
and two wind turbines for the Pitane wind project of Bicakcilar Enerji in
southern Turkey.
The rotor blades and towers for the Urla and Yenihisar
wind farms as well as the tubular steel towers for the Yenihisar wind farm for
the wind farm will be produced in Turkey, enabling the projects to be eligible
for higher feed-in tariffs, Nordex explained.
The company will execute
the projects between spring and summer 2015.
