Yildiz revealed that

saved1.7
billion kilowatt-hours of energy through daylight savings, according to Anadolu
Ajansi on Friday.
"Energy savings and efficiency are crucial for us," said
Yildiz. "Governors across
Turkey
hadlocal
authoritieschange working hours in accordance withdaylight if it
wasnecessary," he added, quoted by Anadolu Ajansi.
Turkey
adopted daylight
savings time to stay in accord with
Europe
and decrease its electricity demand in the
evening. Daylight saving time ended on October 26.
