Serbia's biggest power generating complex, TENT, said on Thursday it has successfully completed the trial synchronization with the grid of its A3 unit after upgrading its capacity to 328.4 MW from 305 MW.

The A3 unit was taken offline on June 6 for overhaul works, TENT said in a statement.

During the upgrade, two thirds of A3's equipment was replaced, increasing its life span, reliability and energy efficiency.

The overhaul works, valued at 80 million euro ($91 million), were performed by over 30 local and foreign companies.

The TENT A power station comprises six units with a combined capacity of 1,650 MW. The coal-fired TENT power generation complex comprises also TPPs TENT B, Kolubara and Morava. The complex has a total installed capacity of 3,288 MW.
