The Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) is convening
a major regional conference on “
Oil
Refining, Storage and Retail in SE Europe”. This is the first time that IENE, within its remit and in the context of the
annual "SE Europe Energy Dialogue” is organizing this unique event in
Thessaloniki.
In the official conference dinner, on Thursday (March 30) evening,
Mr.
Grigoris Stergioulis, CEO of Hellenic Petroleum, will deliver the opening
address while
Mr. John Aligizakis, Chairman of the Hellenic Petroleum
Marketing Companies Association and CEO of Elinoil SA and
Mr. Avner Maimon,
CEO of Bazan Group from Israel will contribute opening remarks, while the
Chairman of the Institute,
Mr. John Chadjivassiliadis will welcome the
delegates in this opening Session.
By organizing this conference, IENE wants to inform the business and energy
community of the highly positive developments in the SE European and East
Mediterranean refinery sector but also explore the significant challenges which
lie ahead. Recognized authorities of the oil industry and well respected
analysts from the region but also from international oil companies and
organizations will travel to Thessaloniki to speak in this highly-focused
event.
On Friday, March 31, renowned energy experts of the oil sector will provide
latest insights on how global oil market dynamics work and the trends which are
now prevailing in the SE European and East Mediterranean market with special
reference to refining and inventories.
On the morning of March 31-

Associate, IENE) will present a review of the global and European oil markets

In the second Session, which deals with the Refining Trends in SE Europe,
senior executives from a number of important regional oil companies will

Roberto Karahannas, General Manager, Domestic and
International Retail of Hellenic Petroleum will be the keynote speaker and a
panel discussion will follow with the participation of
