Turkeys Daily Power Consumption Down 0.64% on Feb. 10

Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.64% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 964,412 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday

Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,745 megawatt-hours at 11.00 local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,845 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 954,676 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.58% compared to Wednesday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20% while lignite plants comprised 13.3%.

On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,973 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 15,797 megawatt-hours.
