Turkish unlisted conglomerate Boydak Holding plans to invest $1 billion in renewable energy within 2 years, chief executive, Memduh Boydak, said Tuesday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reports.

In a press conference, he said the company also plans to invest 50 million Turkish lira ($33.2 million) in the textile sector this year.

Speaking at the same press conference, Chairman Haci Boydak said, Boydak Holding's sales reached TRY3.6 billion in 2009 and the company is targeting TRY4 billion in sales in 2010.

Boydak Holding plans to list one of its units on the Istanbul Stock Exchange in 2010, vice-chairman, Mustafa Boydak, added.
