PARIS (Dow Jones)--Construction and concessions company Vinci SA (VCISY) and nuclear technologies company Areva (CEI.FR) are talking to each other about an alliance to build new-generation EPR nuclear reactors, according to weekly business magazine Challenges.
The report, citing sources close to Vinci, says such a partnership would shut out construction and telecoms group Bouygues SA (12050.FR), which is reported to be keen to buy a stake in Areva and get a foothold in the lucrative nuclear plant construction sector.
The report said Areva declined to comment
