TEHRAN (Dow Jones)--Iran will restart natural gas flow to Turkey from Monday, the country's Vice Minister of Oil Ministry in charge of natural gas Riza Kesaizade said Tuesday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA reported.
The Turkish Energy Ministry said Monday that Iran has halted the natural gas flow to Turkey for technical reasons.
Kesaizade told IHA that Iran has stopped exporting gas to Turkey as Turkmenistan cut gas flow to Iran by Dec. 29 and the country faced the coldest winter in the last 50 years.
"The cold weather will leave Iran by this weekend and we will be able to restart dispatchment (shipping) of natural gas to Turkey on Monday" Kesaizade said.
