A state-appointed member of the non-executive supervisory board of state-controlled Czech power company CEZ AS (BAACEZ.PR) said Czech electricity prices will grow roughly at an annual rate of 10% over the next three to six years, a local newspaper published Friday.

Tomas Huener, who is also the deputy minister of industry, said the prices will rise as Czech power prices converge with electricity prices in Germany, Hospodarske Noviny newspaper said.

However, analysts and CEZ executives have said on multiple occasions that convergence between the two countries' power prices is more or less complete.

Some analysts say prices will stabilize very soon in the Czech Republic, rather than continue the double-digit increases that have taken place in the last several years.
