Romanian household natural gas prices will be increased 8.5% from Feb. 1, news agency Mediafax reported Wednesday, citing Romania's Energy Regulatory Authority ANRE. ANRE said the decision was made to adjust the local gas prices due to the higher prices for imported gas. Following the increase, household consumers will pay 989.55 lei ($390) for 1,000 cubic meters of gas provided by Distrigaz Sud and RON983.1 for 1,000 cubic meters provided by E.ON Romania.
