KazMunaiGas' wholly-owned subsidiary AO KazTransGas said the new tariff would be applied to natural gas transit through Kazakhstan for the whole of 2008.
KazTransGas plans to transport 47 billion cubic meters of Russian natural gas and more than 54 bcm of Central Asian natural gas for Gazprom.
