A Moscow arbitration court has postponed until May 7 a preliminary hearing in a lawsuit filed by OAO Rosneft (ROSN.RS) unit Neft Aktiv against regional generation company OAO TGK-11 (TGKK.RS), news agency Prime-Tass reported Friday.
In February, Neft Aktiv filed a claim against TGK-11 questioning the legality of the merger of two local utilities, Tomskenergo and Omsk Electricity Generation Co., to form TGK-11.
At that time Neft Aktiv said it wasn't aware of a shareholder meeting to approve the merger, although TGK-11 had insisted all shareholders were duly informed.
TGK-11 parent company RAO Unified Energy System of Russia (EESR.RS) is selling off assets as part of a larger electricity sector reform and will cease to exist in July, although the hearing delay could complicate these plans.
Earlier Friday, news agency Interfax reported that a Moscow court has barred TGK-11's planned additional share issue.
