RAK Petroleum, a United Arab Emirates-based oil and gas firm, Tuesday said it appointed Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani, founder and first chief executive of Houston-based Apache International Inc., to its board of directors.
Mossavar-Rahmani will also hold the newly created positions of chairman of the executive committee and managing director with immediate effect, RAK Petroleum said in an emailed statement.
Mossavar-Rahmani presently also holds posts as chairman of the board of directors of Foxtrot International, which is active in West Africa, and as chief executive of Mondoil Enterprises, an energy holding company in the U.S., according to the statement.
