Iran's Petrochemical Commercial Co., or IPCC, will increase its petrochemical exports to Europe by 20% in 2008, an Iranian official said Sunday.
"Iran's petrochemical product exports to Europe is at good level and we plan to increase the volume by 20% this year," IPCC managing director, Mohammad-Ali Zardbani said in a statement on the oil ministry's official Shana news Web site.
The statement did not specify the amount of Iran's current exports.
Iran's oil minister, Gholamhossein Nozari, had recently said that the country's petrochemical production capacity would rise to 47 million tons by mid-March 2009.
