Former monopoly RAO Unified Energy System of Russia (EESR.RS), or UES, on Monday said Germany's RWE AG (RWEOY) and petrochemical company Syntez Group paid in full for the implied government stake in OAO TGK-2 (TGKB.RS), which they jointly bought in March.
Earlier this month, UES said if the companies don't pay for the stake in full by May 31, it will offer the stake to a new strategic investor.
TGK-2 operates power plants in the Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kostroma, Novgorod, Tver and Yaroslavl regions with a combined installed generating capacity of 2,577 megawatts.
