Russia will almost double the price it charges Ukraine for gas from Jan. 1, 2009, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Friday as the two countries' presidents met here.
"The price of gas for Ukraine will almost double from January 1" as a result of greater costs for Russia in acquiring the gas, Lavrov told journalists.
