Vestas has received a 66 MW order consisting of 31 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine and 5 units of the V52-850 kW turbine for the Trapani Salemi project to be installed in Sicily, Italy. The order comprises supply and installation, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system as well as a five-year service agreement.
The order has been placed by WINDCO Spa, a project company belonging to Electrabel of the SUEZ Group, one of the largest power players and energy traders in Europe.
Delivery of the project is scheduled to start in Dec. 2008, and the project will be completed by Oct. 2009.
The above order does not affect the Vestas Group's expectations for 2008.
