Kuwait Petroleum Corp., or KPC, has not finalized a contract with Iran to import about 1 billion cubic feet a day of gas to Kuwait from 2011, state-run Kuna news agency reported Monday, citing Jamal Al Nouri, KPC's managing director of Statistics.
Al Nouri didn't provide further details about when the deal was expected to be completed, Kuna reported.
The comments follows a report by London-based MEED that Iran sealed a long-awaited deal to export gas to Kuwait via a trunk pipeline, with the first phase of the contract, involving 1 billion cubic feet a day, starting in 2011, Kuna said.
