Russian gas monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) agreed with Ukraine's state-owned natural gas company Naftogaz Ukraini Tuesday that the Russian firm will supply Ukraine with no less than 55 billion cubic meters of gas in 2009, the same volume as this year, the companies said is separate statements.
The agreement was reached at a meeting in Moscow of Gazprom and Naftogaz chief executives Alexei Miller and Oleg Dubina, respectively.
The companies also said they are close to agreeing the final details and pricing of the gas supply to Ukraine for next year.
