Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. wants Russia's natural gas monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) to take part in projects to explore and develop natural gas deposits and produce liquefied natural gas in Egypt, Gazprom said Wednesday, Prime-Tass news agency reported.
Gazprom First Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev met with EGAS Chairman Mahmoud Latif and they also discussed cooperation between the companies in the development and upgrade of Egypt's gas infrastructure, supplies of equipment to Egypt, the exchange of experience, and employee training, Gazprom said.
Egypt's proved natural gas reserves amount to 2.06 trillion cubic meters, according to Gazprom.
