Turkey's Anadolu Endustri Holding will build a coal-fired thermal power plant in the Black Sea coastal city of Sinop, Yazicilar Holding, a parent company of Anadolu Endustri, said Friday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reported.

The company said in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange that Anadolu Termik Santralleri AS, a subsidiary of Anadolu Endustri, was Thursday granted a 49-year production license by the country's energy markets regulator, EPDK, to build the power plant.

The power plant, with an installed capacity of 1,020 megawatts, is expected to be built in four and half years, the statement said.
