Ukraine's gas company Naftogaz is ready for compromise in the pricing row
with Russia's OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), and will present its options in Moscow
Thursday, company spokesman Valentin Zemlyansky told Dow Jones Newswires on
Tuesday.
"We are ready to discuss both the price Gazprom charges us for the gas,
and the transit price we are charging Gazprom," he said, declining to
provide further details.
Zemlyansky also said the head of Naftogaz had a phone conversation with his
Gazprom counterpart Tuesday, and Naftogaz is in talks with Gazprom's
representative in Ukraine.
Earlier Tuesday the head of Naftogaz Oleg Dubina said he will fly to Moscow
Thursday for talks with Gazprom's Chief Executive Alexei Miller.
