The Caspian Pipeline Consortium has said it has fully resumed shipping oil from the giant Tengiz oil field in western Kazakhstan to the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk after a shutdown.

The consortium, which operates the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline, said in a statement over the weekend the oil shipments were fully resumed Saturday.

Oil shipments were stopped between the Tengiz oil field, developed by Chevron-led Tengizchevroil, and the city of Atyrau, after an oil leak was discovered last Thursday.

Tengizchevroil produces 540,000 barrels a day and the pipeline operated by CPC is its main export route.
