PARIS (Dow Jones)--Utility Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) may strengthen its partnership with nuclear group Areva SA (CEI.FR) in uranium mining, Chief Executive Pierre Gadonneix tells La Tribune newspaper in an interview published Thursday.
"With 2% of Areva, we are the first shareholder after the state," Gadonneix also tells the paper, adding: "I'm going to make sure that our partnership, essential for both groups, is preserved."
