Turkish Energy Min Says Nabucco May Not Provide Cheap Gas

Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Monday the planned Nabucco pipeline is important for supply security but it may not be important for procuring cheap gas, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reports.
Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Monday the planned Nabucco pipeline is important for supply security but it may not be important for procuring cheap gas, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reports.

Replying to questions of reporters during the official intergovernmental signing ceremony of the Nabucco project, Yildiz also said Turkey will have a right to take 10 billion-12 billion cubic meters of the total 31 billion cubic meters of natural gas to be carried through the pipeline.

Yildiz said not only supply security is important for Turkey but also receiving gas constantly and buying it at a reasonable price.
