Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko and his U.K. counterpart, Ed Miliband, Monday signed a memorandum of understanding on future joint energy-efficiency investments, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports on its Web site.
"According to the memorandum, by the end of the year, a project of priority measures is expected to be developed," Shmatko is quoted as saying.
"We have agreed that Russia will propose a range of investment projects within the next month," he said, adding that details would be finalized during project development.
