Earlier Friday, the Interfax news agency cited Lukoil Chief Executive Vagit
Alekperov as saying the two companies will sign a gas deal, but without
specifying where the gas would come from.
Lukoil produced 2.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas at its
Kandum-Khauzak-Shady field in
Uzbekistan
last
year.
