Serbia is interested in participating in the construction of Bulgaria's
second nuclear power plant, Belene, with a stake of at least 5%, higher than the
one offered by the government in Sofia, Belgrade-based media reported on
Tuesday.
Bulgaria has offered Serbia a stake of one to two percent in the
plant.
Bulgaria has asked Serbia and Croatia to say whether they will
participate in the project by November 13, when Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir
Putin arrives on a visit to Sofia, Serbian daily Blic
reported.
Serbia is interested in the Belene plant contruction and could finance
its participation in the project with own funds, Serbian Energy Minister Petar
Skundric told Blic.
