Russia and Bulgaria have agreed to approve the front end design for the Belene nuclear power plant before the end of the year, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said.
“We have agreed that the front end design for the plant will be approved before the end of the year,” Putin said on Saturday, November 13.
“We respect and understand the position of the chairman of the government, the prime minister of Bulgaria who insists that this should be a pan-European project. We are ready to engage our partners from European countries in our joint work and are involved in negotiations with them to this end,” he said.
