Serbia: Factory for Recycling of Electrical and Electronic Waste Opened

Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic said on Saturday in Nis that this Ministry will respond to questions from the European Commission’s (EC) Questionnaire within the deadline.

After opening a factory for recycling of electrical and electronic waste "E-Recycling", Dulic told the press that Ministry representatives had the chance to see questionnaires of former EU candidate countries.

The questionnaire for Serbia has 25% of new questions, while 75% of the questions are the same as for other countries, the Minister explained and reiterated that his Ministry is prepared for this task, that it will stick to deadlines and will be among the first to give answers.

Minister Dulic opened the recycling factory in Nis, whose capacity will be 5,000 tons of electrical and electronic waste per year, as part of the campaign “Clean Serbia“.

This factory, which will employ 40 people, is built according to all ecological standards and it is the first of this kind in southern Serbia.

During the visit to Nis, Dulic also went to the area where the first recycling yard in Nis will be built.
