National Petroleum Corp. has completed construction of a third natural gas
pipeline linking Beijing city and Shaanxi province, and plans to bring it
online on Jan. 4, state-owned Xinhua News Agency said Friday.
The 898-kilometers natural gas pipeline has a designed transmission capacity of
15 billion cubic meters per year, it said.
The completion of the project will help to ease the natural gas supply pressure
in the capital, Xinhua said.
