In a statement, Enel Green Power said the regional authority of
Sardinia
approved the construction of a wind farm in the Portoscuso area for an
installed capacity of 90 megawatts.
The facility will have 39 Siemens AG (SI) wind turbines of 2.3mw each and
generate sufficient electricity to power 70,000 households a year, it said.
Enel Green Power's current installed wind farm capacity in
Sardinia
is
161mw.
