The energy minister of Turkey arrived in Venezuela late Tuesday to discuss the exchange of housing and infrastructure funding for oil from the South American nation.

According
to a statement posted on the website of Venezuela's foreign ministry, the
countries hope to finalize plans negotiated in November in
Turkey
.
Ankara
also agreed last year to invest in
Venezuela
's
crude-rich
Orinoco
region.
Turkey
's
energy minister, Taner Yildiz, is scheduled to tour the area Thursday.
