previously planned, an oil ministry spokesman said Monday.
Assem Jihad said the delay was to give international companies enough time to
review details of the bidding round terms and also to allow for key meetings
that would have had to take place during the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday next
month and Christmas and New Year holidays.

announced the fourth bidding round earlier this year and last month it held in
Amman

Jordan
a
road show for international companies to explain the blocks on offer and a
preliminary model contract.
The ministry has prequalified some 46 international companies to take part in
the bidding round, including some of the world's largest.
