Azerbaijan should express its feedback regarding export of Shah Deniz gas as immediately as it can. The statement came from Energy, Environment and Climate Change Minister of Greece Popu Konstantinos at a press conference on his visit to Azerbaijan.
The visit aims to make advantages of Italy-Turkey-Greek pipeline gas pipeline (ITGI) clear for Azerbaijan, the minister said.
'This project is one the optimal versions of transport of Azerbaijani gas to Europe. Therefore, I should provide feedback about the project as soon as possible'.
Gas will be exported to Balkans in 2012-2013 and Europe will be supplied with gas in 2017 via this pipeline, the minister added.
“The project is estimated at around $1.5-2 billion. Of this amount, $1 billion will be issued for Greece from European sources.”
