German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG (SI) said Monday it received its first wind turbine order from Chile, for a total capacity of 115 megawatt.
German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG (SI) said Monday it received its first wind turbine order from Chile , for a total capacity of 115 megawatt.

MAIN FACTS:

-Clients for the El Arrayán wind power project, located approximately 400 kilometers north of
Santiago , are the partners Pattern Energy Group LP, Ashmore Energy International and Antofagasta Minerals SA.

-The scope of supply encompasses delivery, installation and commissioning of 50 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.3 megawatt and a rotor diameter of 101 meters.

-The order includes a five-year service and maintenance contract.

-After the commissioning planned in early 2014, El Arrayán will be the largest wind farm in
Chile and provide clean power for up to 200,000 households.
