The Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) approved on Thursday a license for the construction of the world’s biggest offshore wind park, consisting of 81 turbines with a total capacity of 498.15 megawatts.
City Electric, a subsidiary of RF Energy, will invest a total of 2 billion euros in the project, which will be located northeast of the island of Limnos, in the northern Aegean.
It will be linked to the mainland at Xanthi in Thrace.
