The consortium behind the Trans-Adriatic
Pipeline (TAP) has opened the project up to interest from potential
partners, with a call for prospective interested parties to apply.
Tha announcement is part of a first, non-binding market test, the
consortium has said.
The "Expression of Interest" phase, which was launched on
Friday, invites all those with an interest in the pipeline to apply to the
consortium to apply to participate in the project in the capacity relevant to
the interested party.
Potentially interested parties include transmission system
operators (TSOs), and government and financial institutions, as well as market
operators.
In this phase, these parties may seek to connect to the pipeline,
inquire about contracting capacity, or in submitting data to the relevant
"Authorities" who will decide the rules, regulations and allocations
of the pipeline.
The deadline for registration of
this phase, which is approved by the "Authorities"--the Albanian, Greek and Italian governments--is
the 10th of August. The closing date for submission of relevant information and
data to the Authorities is five days later, on the 15th of August.
